Also join us for a pre-concert lecture at 2 p.m. by Sarah Beller, HIAS community engagement director for greater Washington DC.  The title is:  “Beyond the Headlines: Seeing the Global Refugee Crisis Through A Jewish Lens.”  Learn more about the current refugee crisis and explore how Jewish values and history call on us to respond. We’ll also discuss what you can do to welcome and speak out for refugees and asylum seekers.
