Services at Shirat HaNefesh bring folks from many backgrounds together to seek a meaningful connection with one another, with their Jewish heritage and people, and with God.

We strive to pray with kavvanah, conscious intention. Our music taps the vast wellsprings of Jewish tradition, ancient and modern, Sephardic and Ashkenazi. Come sing a new song!  We welcome everyone to worship with us. See calendar for details.

SHABBAT
Our weekly Shabbat services (Fridays at 7 pm, except First Friday at 6:30 pm, and Saturdays at 9:30 am)  are intimate and filled with uplifting music and spiritual inspiration.  Give us a try! Please note these special Shabbats:

“First Friday” Service and Shabbat Dinner, 6:30 – 8:30 pm:

First Friday of each month. Family-friendly, candlelit musical service from 6:30-7:15 pm, followed by blessing the children and a sit-down Shabbat meal. Please bring a vegetarian/dairy dish and non-alcoholic drinks to share. (Click on the link at the bottom of this page for the flyer.)

Second Friday – Musical Kabbalat Shabbat with Kolot Halev Choir and Band, 7:00-8:30 pm:

Second Friday of the month (except summer).  Lots of folks, gorgeous music, ruach, and dancing.  Join us for a truly spirited welcome of the Sabbath Queen.

Fifth Friday – Shabbat at home

When a month contains five Fridays, we “take the fifth” to share  the joy of Shabbat in a communal setting or in each others’ homes..  Please note that there is no service at our regular location in months when there is a fifth Friday. Consult calendar for details.

Shabbat morning

Shabbat service with Music, Meditation and Torah Study, 9:30-11:45 a.m.

Kiddush  11:45 a.m. – 12:30 pm.
